Harp Lessons
The harp is one of the most beautiful and captivating instruments to learn—and now, it’s available right here at The Music Studio in Stafford! Whether you're 7 or 70, our harp program is designed for beginners with no prior experience. Students will learn on full-sized lever harps provided in the studio, so there’s no need to bring or purchase your own instrument to get started. From the very first lesson, you'll be making real music and discovering the rich, elegant sound of this timeless instrument.
Our Teaching Philosophy: Read, Play, and Grow
At The Music Studio, our goal is not just to teach students how to play songs—we teach them how to become musicians. Our method focuses heavily on sightreading and independent learning from day one. Students are guided to read music fluently, rather than memorizing or relying on imitation. Why? Because students who can truly read music have no limits—they can explore any style, any level, and any piece of music with confidence. Sightreading is the foundation that unlocks long-term success and joy in music, and we’re proud to build that skill into every lesson.
Meet Our Harp Instructor – Brynn Olden
We’re thrilled to welcome Brynn Olden as the newest member of our teaching faculty at The Music Studio! Brynn holds a degree in Harp Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory, where she refined her artistry and musical training at a high level. Even more special—Brynn is a former student of The Music Studio and studied under our longtime harp teacher, David Crookston.
Now returning as an instructor, Brynn brings both deep expertise and a personal connection to our program. She’s passionate about helping students discover the beauty of the harp and is excited to lead the next generation of harpists at The Music Studio.
