| Below is a listing of tuition rates for Individual Lessons offered in the following instruments: Piano, Harp, Voice, Guitar, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Woodwinds. All individual lessons for ages 7 and older are one hour in length and include theory lab in conjunction with the applied lesson. Half hour lessons are available to ages 4 - 6 only (the Flex Plan, however, is not recommended for students younger than age 12). Our Summer 2008 Programs and tuition rates are also listed. Individual Instruction Packages Year Round Package This is our most recommended and economical tuition plan for ages 7 through Adult -- providing the student with uninterrupted progress and secures the lesson slot you need for the entire year (September through August, 12 months). Tuition may be paid monthly, or in full (10% discount for payment in full - which is equivalent to receiving over one month of lessons free!). Two (2) formal, catered recitals included per year. *Half hour lessons are available for ages 4 to 6 at the package rate of $115.00 per month x 12 months (total tuition: $1,380.00). School Year Package Lessons follow the school year from September through May (see Calendar for actual dates) with the summer months off. Ages 7 through Adult. Tuition may be paid monthly or in full with a 5% discount. Fall recital is included in this package. Calendar
*Half hour lessons are available for ages 4 to 6 at the package rate of $143.00 per month x 9 months (total tuition: $1,287.00). Single Semester Package Enroll in only one semester at a time -- choice of Summer, Fall and Spring. Tuition may be paid monthly or in full (monthly rate multiplied by number of months in the semester). Calendar
*Half hour lessons are available for ages 4 to 6 at the package rate of $195.00 x number of months in the semester. Flex Package A unique lesson plan gear especially toward the dedicated student with a demanding schedule. Perfect for adults who travel frequently or need to work around kid activities! You may purchase a block of four lessons and schedule them as needed within six months of enrollment. Students also have the option of using the theory lab at no additional charge on four separate occasions, if desired. Payment must be made in advance of first lesson. We strongly discourage ages 4 - 6 from enrolling with the Flex Plan; therefore the half hour lesson is not available here. Calendar
Single Session Packages If none of our other enrollment plans will work with your busy schedule, but you still wish to work with an instructor on occasion, our Single Session plan may be just for you -- offering the convenience of taking one lesson at a time, when it fits into your schedule. A Single Session may also be used if you simply want to experience a lesson before making the decision to enroll long-term. Single Sessions do not include theory lab time, but additional lab time may be scheduled at no additional charge, if desired. 48 hours advance notice required. Calendar
Group Programs -Tuition & Schedules String Chamber Orchestra For Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass. Ages 12 and older with one year minimum playing experience required. September 2008 through June 2009. Calendar
Beginning Piano for Kids 3 trimesters, small group, covering basic elements of music and piano playing. Ages 8 - 11. Class space is very limited.
Beginning Piano for Adults Recreational Music Making for Adults -- relieve stress and enjoy playing and learning to read music in a social, non-competitive environment. 8 - week session.
Terms of Enrollment Tuition Monthly payments, if applicable, are due by the 10th of each month for the duration of the term of enrollment. Payments not received by the 10th of each month will incur a $10.00 late fee. All tuition is non-refundable and tuition will not be adjusted due to lessons missed either by student or instructor. A $25.00 fee will be added to the student's account for any returned checks or failed ACH or Credit Card payments. If a student wishes to discontinue lessons for any reason prior to the end of the agreed upon term, tuition will be adjusted in accordance to the length of study and current school tuition rates (see rates for School Year Package and Single Semester Package). If The Music Studio prematurely terminates this agreement due to delinquent tuition payments, The Music Studio may accelerate the payment of the balance of the tuition. Missed Lessons/Tardiness The Music Studio does not offer any refund or make-ups for tardiness or lessons missed or cancelled by students. Tuition is not adjusted due to missed lessons either on the part of the student or the instructor, will make up lessons be given once the family has discontinued tuition payments. Lessons missed or cancelled by instructors will be made up at a mutually agreeable time and as studio space becomes available, provided family's account is current. The Music Studio reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute instructor in the event the current instructor is unable to make up missed lessons. Parents who are habitually more than 10 minutes late picking up a child from lessons will be charged the current tuition rate for that hour. Studio Calendar The Music Studio annual calendar can be viewed on our website, and is not distributed at lessons or mailed unless requested. Our calendar ensures that all private lesson students have the same number of available lesson slots per year regardless of lesson day (provided said student continues a full year). Holidays and other non-teaching days have already been configured into the annual number of lesson slots and the annual tuition and are noted on the calendar. Lessons scheduled "off" on the calendar are not designated to be made up. TMS observes major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and the studio will be closed during those holidays. Schedule/Faculty Change Student requests for permanent schedule changes may be made at any time during the term; however, tuition will not be adjusted due to missed lessons. The Music Studio will execute the first schedule change request free of charge; subsequent changes will be charged a fee of $15.00 each. The Music Studio reserves the right to substitute and/or change the student's Faculty at any time. Instruments, Supplies, Books With the exception of pianos and pedal harp, students are responsible for providing their own instruments during class and at home for practice. Students are responsible for purchasing all music as specified by their instructor. Studio Policies The Music Studio maintains additional studio policies with regard to our physical location. These policies are posted on premises and must be adhered to by Students and Parents for the duration of their enrollment. On Premise Studio Policies Miscellaneous The Music Studio may terminate lessons at any time for misconduct, misuse of equipment, or failure to pay tuition as documented in this agreement. All families/students must read, agree to, and sign a copy of the current Terms of Enrollment prior to beginning lessons at The Music Studio. It is the student's/Family's responsibility to be aware of all policies and the annual calendar. Discontinuation of Lessons If ending lessons on a permanent basis, The Music Studio requires students to give 30 days notice, by completion of a Lessons Discontinuation Form.
