| Summer 2009 Programs The Music Studio is pleased to offer the following summer programs coming Summer 2009! Stay tuned for updates and more information! Group Voice Lessons
Designed as a preparatory to private voice instruction especially for students ages 8 to 12, this class combines a solfege-based singing method with age appropriate choral repertoire, and will cover pitch recognition, sight singing, ear training, music notation, breathing and placement. Students will benefit from the experience of ensemble singing, but also learn to develop their solo voices correctly without strain to the vocal chords. Although "a cappella" and sight singing will be emphasized, we will also occasionally
integrate keyboards and percussion instruments to assist with music notation. Other aspects of the class will include how to practice correctly and wellness (essential to success in vocal training).
Music "Sampler" Featuring all the instruments we offer at The Music Studio: Piano, Voice, Harp, Strings, Guitar, Woodwinds! If you love music, but wonder which instrument is just right for you, this is your chance to test drive them all. Each session will integrate music reading and ear training fundamentals from our master teachers with the history of their particular instrument, demonstrations, and the opportunity to try each. |
