Music Lessons last a lifetime! Our mission is to ensure our students love music by developing the reading, technique, and performance skills necessary for them to become independent, fluent musicians. We strive to make our lessons the activity your child enjoys most and looks forward to all week, and that your home is filled with beautiful music.
Private Instruction is offered in Piano, Harp, Strings (Violin, Viola), Guitar, and Voice, for all ages and levels. Students meet one-on-one with their instructor each week and progress at their own pace. Recommended lesson length for beginning students is 30 minutes weekly; however, longer customized lengths are also available for intermediate and advanced students.
Group Instruction is offered in Beginning Piano. The groups are small (3 to 4 students), progress quickly, and work well for the extroverted student who thrives in a more social learning environment. The members of the group work as a support system for each other and benefit from learning and playing together. The issue of practice is addressed at each session, with effective supervised practice built into the lesson program. However, due to a natural sense of "friendly" peer pressure and competition, students tend to also want to practice at home. There is ample opportunity to perform solo pieces, as well as ensemble pieces, during each class. The longer lesson length (60 minutes weekly) allows time for parents to run errands, and students have the additional option of attending on a different day should they have a schedule conflict.
WE ALSO OFFER SMALL GROUP BEGINNING PIANO FOR ADULTS
ages 21 and older with little or no prior playing experience.
We welcome the opportunity to work with children with disabilities, including the special needs of students with ADHD, PDD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (for ages 3 and older). Our program mission is to provide musical training, therapy, and a rewarding experience that will last a lifetime. Recommended lesson length is 30 minutes weekly, and instruction is tailored to the individual needs of the student. We ask that parent(s) and child meet with the instructor prior to beginning lessons.
