The Music Studio Difference... Consistent, Convenient, Complete!
The Music Studio -- combining the traditional private music lesson with modern technology for a complete music program
|
Our History We are a private teaching facility for independent master teachers of piano, voice, guitar, and symphonic instruments. The idea for opening such a studio sprang from a need for one private teacher to move her growing home-based piano studio of 15 years from a residential subdivision to a location suitable for a professional business. Soon, two more area teachers, who were also experiencing difficulties with crowded home studios and limited music store teaching space, joined forces to become The Music Studio. The three teachers shared a vision to provide quality music instruction in a safe, clean, professional setting free from distraction and dedicated to the needs of students and teachers. Since our opening in April 2005, our experienced teaching staff has grown from three to many full- and part- time instructors. We have expanded into a new and larger facility, and our student base continues to grow. Private instruction is now available in piano, guitar, voice, harp, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, euphonium and flute. We offer a complete program for students of all ages and abilities that includes theory, ear training, music history and performance with the private lesson. New to the studio this year is our Strings Chamber Orchestra, which is open to students and non-students ages 12 - Adult. In September of 2008, we became and All-Yamaha School and acquired 5 new Yamaha Clavinovas which are currently located in our Piano Lab and used for group instruction, such as Recreational Music Making and Play by Christmas. Beginning in January 2009, for the first time since our original opening, we will be offering year-round small-group lessons in Beginning Piano to Adults and Kids. We at The Music Studio believe that a thorough music education should include a variety of elements - performance, theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, music history and fun. Our goal is to provide our students with the best music education and opportunities possible. Our hope is that they will enjoy music for a lifetime.
