General Calendar for 2011 - 2012
The Music Studio's 12-month teaching year runs September 1st through August 31st. We observe major holidays, following the Stafford County School calendar as closely as possible. In addition, there will be no regular lessons during weeks prior to a recital in order to adequately schedule rehearsals, and these weeks will be announced as far in advance as possible. All non-teaching days (which refers to major holidays, rehearsal weeks, and summer break) have already been factored into the annual tuition and are not subject to be made up. There is no additional charge for recitals, rehearsals, master classes, or instructor-scheduled ensemble practices.
The Music Studio will be closed (no lessons) during the following weeks. Only general time frames are defined below - students will be notified by their instructors in advance of specific dates:
Summer Break 2011 - (2 weeks) Last week of August and the week after Labor Day
Thanksgiving - (1 week)
Christmas - (2 weeks, will follow the Stafford County School calendar as closely as possible)
Spring Break - (1 week)
Summer Break 2012 - (2 weeks) Last week of Augst and the week after Labor Day
